Every great racing story has a beginning.
Not with trophies.
Not with championships.
Not even with a race car.
It begins with a dream.
This is ours.
Meet Ben.
Ben is 12 years old from Sultan, Washington, and like so many kids, he fell in love with racing.
What makes his story different isn't just that he drives.
It's that he lives the sport.
On any given weekend, you might find him behind the wheel of his Heavy 160 quarter midget, waving the green flag at Evergreen Speedway, announcing races at WQMA, volunteering with his local club, or turning laps in iRacing long after the sun goes down.
To Ben, racing isn't just something you do on Saturdays.
It's a community.
It's a place where friendships are built, lessons are learned, and memories are made.
Today, Ben serves as Kid Club President at WQMA because he believes every racer has a responsibility to give back to the sport that gave them a place to belong. Whether he's helping another young driver, announcing podium finishers, or handing a checkered flag to a child watching from the fence, he wants others to experience the same excitement that captured his heart.
Over the past few years, many people have come to know him as "Flagger Ben." He's been offered opportunities to flag at other tracks, even hydroplane races, but he continues to do what he loves close to home because that's where his racing family is.
This season marks an important milestone. It is Ben's final year in quarter midgets.
The little Seahawks race car that has carried him through countless laps, victories, lessons, and unforgettable weekends will soon be retired as our family begins preparing for the next challenge.
A Legend Car.
For years, Ben has dreamed of competing at Evergreen Speedway. Every race weekend, every volunteer shift, every late night on the simulator has been one more step toward that goal.
That journey is why NextLap exists. We believe sponsorship should be more than placing a logo on a race car. It should be about believing in people. Our visibility and hard work benefits those who support us.
The businesses that partner with Ben aren't simply supporting a season. they're becoming part of a story that's still being written. They'll celebrate the victories, learn from the setbacks, and experience the milestones right alongside us. Through race-day content, behind-the-scenes moments, community involvement, and authentic storytelling, our partners become part of something bigger than advertising.
They're helping build a dream.
As you follow this series, you'll see the highs and lows that come with chasing a goal. Some days will end with checkered flags. Others will end with lessons learned in the garage. Every chapter will be real.
Because that's what Road to Legends is all about.
Not just documenting a race career.
Documenting the making of a racer.
We're honored you're here from the beginning.
Welcome to the journey.
